Open Doors provides emergency low-barrier shelter for adults, case management for shelter participants, plus organized holistic support services through community partnerships.
Open Doors operates out of the Navigation Center. The center is home to a low-barrier emergency shelter for adults and a weekday daytime drop-in center open to all in the community. We carry out our mission for our community with our community.

We Translate Our Guide
Into Seven Languages.
Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County are diverse communities with more than 55 languages spoken in our public schools. We’ve translated our guide into seven of the most frequently heard languages. Contact our team if you want our guide translated into your language.

We provide, free of charge, donated clothing (newborn through grade 12), disposable baby diapers and baby supplies to needy families. We currently serve close to 500 families and 1000 children in our community.
2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month: 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
3rd Tuesday of each month: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
2nd and 4th Thursday of each month: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
