This is the centralized entry point to services for households who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness in the City of Harrisonburg.

Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) works with a national network of more than 400 child care resource and referral (CCR&Rs) agencies and other partners to ensure that all families have access to quality, affordable child care

Licensed child protection agency able to provide foster care, treatment foster care, and adoption services for children and families.

Private, non-profit organization providing affordable professional counseling services to resident of the central Shenandoah valley.

CHP helps income qualifying renters and homeowners reduce energy costs by improving the energy efficiency of the home. Programs include Weatherization, Utilities and Crisis Heating & Cooling. Note: CHP is based in Christiansburg, VA bur provides services state-wide.

Cooks Creek is a member of the West Rockingham Food Pantry. Organized in 2008, the WRFP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community pantry composed of ten churches, three Ruritan Clubs, and a Boy Scout troop. Its mission is to provide food to help supplement the nutritional needs of our neighbors in a dignified and respectful manner. Operating out of Cooks Creek, the pantry serves the area west of Harrisonburg to the West Virginia border.

Distributed the 4th Thursday of each month from 4-6pm. However, in November and December distribution will be the second and third Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm

Monday: Otterbein United Methodist Church: Bagged meal served at 4:30pm. Corner of W. Market and High St. 434-7747.

Tuesday: Asbury United Methodist Church: Bagged meal offered 10:00am-3:00pm. 205 S. Main St. 434-2836. First Presbyterian Church: Bagged meal served at 4:30pm. 17 Court Square. 434-6551.

Wednesday: Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church: Bagged meal served at 4:30pm. (at doors on N. Federal St.) 434-4341.

Thursday: Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church: Bagged meal served at 11:30am. (at doors on N. Federal St.) 434-4341.

Saturday: Harrisonburg Baptist Church: Hot sandwich and bagged meal served 10:00-11:00am. Main St. & S. Liberty St. 433-2456

Our Community Place: Serving breakfast: Monday-Friday: 8-9am. 17 E. Johnson St. Office: 442-7727, Community center: 208-7552. Serving lunch and volunteering during their Friday box lunch restaurant. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 12-1pm. (Closed Thursdays)
